HPA were appointed by HS1 Ltd to undertake a feasibility study to reduce the existing ticket office by two thirds, to provide 2 retail units and a new ticket office.
Due to our ongoing relationship with HS1 Ltd, we were asked to undertake the feasibility study and develop this to RIBA Stage 3. This included managing the design team and also dealing with specialist suppliers including for the new desks. We initiated a full cost plan to achieve business case sign-off for our client. Following granting of the Heritage Deed from London Borough of Camden, which is managed in-house by HS1 Heritage Architect, we were then successful in securing the remainder of the project with our Design & Build partner, Build 2 Design Ltd. We developed the full construction information package required for contractor’s proposals to be signed-off. Construction of the new ticket office was completed in October 2016 and the retail unit shell works completed shortly afterwards.
